Music and movement together
Put on a simple song your child enjoys and move together to the music. Hold hands and sway, bounce gently, or clap together. You can sit facing each other and clap your hands together, or stand and dance while holding both their hands. Make eye contact and smile as you move together. The shared rhythm and physical connection create a joyful bonding moment. Music is a universal connector, and moving together to a beat is one of the earliest forms of social coordination humans learn.
